Job Summary:
Coordination, advocacy and monitoring implementation of the Sexual and Reproductive Health activities by Youth Peer Provides (YPPs) and Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) in a specified County in Nyanza Region.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
(The knowledge, skills and abilities may be required through a combination of formal schooling, self-education and prior experience or on-the-job-training).
(a) Level of education:
A minimum of Diploma in public health or social sciences.
(b) Competencies/Abilities/Skills Required:
-Experience working with grassroots community health and development initiatives
-Relevant knowledge and experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health.
-Proven ability to conceptualize, plan and execute ideas as well as transfer knowledge and skills. Ability to organize and implement trainings
-Energetic, flexible, proactive, adaptable to changing priorities & ability to work effectively under pressure.
-Experience in supervising groups and individuals
-Ability to express clearly and concisely ideas and concepts in written and oral form.
-Proven ability to work without supervision
-Knowledge of computer applications.
-Knowledge of the county and local language will be an added advantage.
c) Job experience:
At least 2 years working experience with an NGO, Government or community development institutions; and/or behavior change communication program implementation either at sub-county, county or regional levels.
